Mods that don't void Warranty
I agree. My gf is in the market for a car and she wants a gti, so we are at vw looking around and she found one she liked. I asked to take it for a test drive. I swear even with the DSG transmission it felt like it had no *** lol
My first OB 08 GSR Evo had a cat back, Intake, IC pipes and FMIC. NO ECU programing. I had a pretty bad issues with it. Had Mitsubishi swap it out for my PB 08 GSR. Mitsubishi does have a warranty and are very fair. Like it was said before, if the mods did not cause it, they will cover it. If you search my screen name you will see that I have owned a 06 IX MR, 08 OB GSR, 08 PB GSR, and now a 11 GSR. I also had a 90 GS Eclipse and a 97 GST. Never had an issues with Mitsubishi warranty. Then again except for a couple of times and some rattles my cars have been modded to the point were a drivetrain warranty would not apply.
Depending on the dealership (know mine does it) they can order almost every part. If they order it and install it, everything is still coverd under warrenty. They can get AMS intake, uicp, licp, dp. They can also get tein coilovers and torque solution sts.
All that being said, u can put any aftermarket part on your car and still have warrenty. As long as the part didnt cause the problem, which they have to prove it did.
