Hello just wanted to see if anyone has a Shep final drive in there evo x. i have one installed in my x(they sell a 4.28, but i got a newer version 4.30) it is great for longer gears, cruising, and better gas milage around 270 highway per tank on race gas map! but the issue i want to see if anyone else is having is at the strip, launching car and shifting to 2nd, the gears are so long and drop rpms and loses all boost....... is anyone else have this issue, and if yes what have you done to correct this issue or should i just take it back out and sell it.

 

your problem sounds logical. I hate how short the gearing is and wanted the shep setup myself.

My thought to fix the problem though is, build your top end, and run the car to higher revs so when you shift you can keep it in boost.

I would imagine it would probably be worth it for a really high horse power stroker engine.

Like TheBlade says, on a built non-stroked setup the consensus is you are better off reving it out. 9k!
