Nice responses guys, I've got a a real Do luck and yea I spent near 9k on the fiancé's ring but it's house time so I'm getting another little beater and laying low with the Evo for a while. Maintainace wise, other cars are more costly like my moms 328xi just blew a t case out the blue and I beat my car on the track and its going strong. Also it does help that the mods are done over time but as my girl puts it... There's always something needed for the car lol I love my Evo though definately one of my dream cars and it puts a smile on my face every time I hit that garage key pad

I'm around 6k prolly. If you included oil changes and car washes and all that junk like the OP it's closer to 8k.

Catback, testpipe, Cobb AP, short shifter, Shift knob, bushings, led lights, intercooler piping, intercooler, CF intake, CF radiator cover, Grimspeed 3-port, a clutch and flywheel I never installed, another Catback, taillights, fogs, Defi boost gauge, AEM wideband, gauge pod, tint, H&R lowering springs, wheel paint, performance brake pads, more intercooler piping, and the list keeps going.. Not to mentions tires, oil changes every 2500 miles with AMSoil, filters, tranny and diff fluids, car wash stuff..

I added up the amount I've spent so far and it was A LOT. I'll post the numbers when I get on my home computer late. Modding is a sickness!

Same sort of stuff have slowed me down too. My budget for my wedding went over by about ~8k, and since this was my wife's second marriage her parents didn't kick down a dime for it. Two years ago I bought my house, but renting or mortgage it's all about the same price where I live, so I couldn't of saved either way.

Probably close to 10 grand for everything. And I'm pretty much done (crosses fingers) with the exception of tires.

Blade...I've owned my house for 2 years now too. Got it out of forclosure and am waaay in the black. If your going to spend money to live somewhere you might as well own the place instead of throwing your money away in rent right

I justify my spending with the mrs as money I could of spent at the bar. Atleast this keeps me in my garage working and happy.

I look at all my expenses, its around $6k and thats with swapping out 4 different exhausts. I like to buy used parts and thats how I manage to keep the cost as low as possible.
