Hey guys my X was stolen from my driveway friday night. It was recovered but pretty much damage was done to it. From the looks of the car it might be totaled but won't find out until later this week. Plus the kid who we think stole it was pissed drunk and doesnt really know how to drive stick so I really don't want to see the transmission. This is upsetting as this thing was my baby and planned on going e85 next month. I am just browsing at other cars again since I might have to shop depending if its totaled or not and wanted ideas from you all. My dream car is a 94-98 supra. I found one so far that I will buy just not very good ones on the market. Looking at some nismo 370z/g35/m3/s2k. Any suggestions that have the same comparable hp as an evo basically looking for around 400hp safely. Got basically a 28kish spending limit. Shoot me ideas!!!

 

why not an evo 8/9?

 

I checked the market so far today for an 8/9 but I already know I wouldn't mind having one. Sorry I forgot to add that to my list.

Well your username is evox FOR LIFE....so get another one. See if you can get the mods off the totaled car...and use the extra cash for a bigger turbo

 

X isn't out of the question but wouldn't get an MR. Needs to be stick I'm still young and don't live in a city haha

Very long long long story. But very simply broke down he broke the basement window. Stole my brothers safe and my spare key out of the cabinet as long with other things in the house. We think this happened around 3amish around 5am he showed up at a kids house barely able to stand. That's why I don't want to know wth my transmission is like especially since he can't drive stick very well. At 7am he was pushing it into some random guy driveway(for whatever reason I hope the engine took a ****). Wheel was cracked/missing pieces. Side skirt off, front/rear bumper torn, undetray missing. Looks like he drove through a corn field and back on the road all the wheels were caked in dirt an the car

 

You're going to be disappointed with a Z/G35. Trust me from experience here.

Man that sucks i hate thieves mine is a stolen recovery and it seemed like they went on a road trip put 10k miles onthe car in two weeks and blew the motor! The original owner was a member here dont know who though would be cool to contact em.

So when they took the car they just went for a joyride am totaled it? If no parts were taken i woul it would be a pretty good idea to find another x a transfer parts.

 

Damn that really sucks. I just filled up the tank of gas the night before so I am not sure how empty it is. But I did pop the hood everything seemed intact and nothing was missing but I was just in such shock I don't remember much. I should be able to see the car tomorrow

 

I originally wanted an 8/9 but found a great deal on an X. M3 is kind of a long shot anyways cause of the price. What didn't you like about the Z/g35?

 

You could get a turbo s2000 with 400whp, but I'd worry about the rear differential. I have a boosted s2000 and they are lots of fun but so impractical. If its your only car forget about it. G35s are so boring to drive. The nismo 370 isnt as fun as a s2000. For 28k I would get a evo x or a c6 vette, used boxster s, or best of all a NSX and boost it
