Buying first Evo soon

So I am gonna lease a new Evo next week. Just sold my RSX-S that I've had for 7 years since new... I'm sure the Evo is gonna be worlds different for me than my type s. What do most people think of the Sight/Sound package?? I def need a good stereo and HIDs are also important. Is the SSS Package stereo REALLY good or just good? How about the HIDs, are they of high quality, and do they have good projectors? How are the non-leather seats for long trips? They don't look comfy but im assuming they can't be any worse than the leather racing seats in the type-s also. Last question is how rough is the ride in the evo? So many review videos state it's a rough ride. Sorry for all the newb question and in the future I will search for answers, just figured anyone with the SS package could pretty much quickly answer all of these for me. Can't wait to get my Evo!!! Thanks!

SSS package is meh. hids are nice and stereo is decent but you could build a stereo system for less and pick up aftermarket hids and save some money if you buying. Since youre leasing id say go for it. I cant comment on the leather seats as ive got the fabric seats.

I have an 08 gsr, fabric seats are way better imo. Drove 8 hours in mine and was very very comfortable, the power difference will be amazing. Stock rockford fostgate system is very good and less work you have to do yourself, I would go with there hids too..

Hid's you will want if you don't get them you can buy cheap ballast for 50 bucks but your not going to have the projector headlamps which are not cheap and the adjustable headlights

Thanks guys. Pretty sure i'm gonna love this car. Yeah, HIDs are a pain in the *** when installed aftermarket. I've always had issues with them. Def gonna get the GSR with SS Package. Is the ride as rough as some reviews say?

Don't expect the EVO to drive like a Cadillac it's a sports car with sport suspension remember that. I wouldn't say the suspension is rough though. I'm pleased with the stock suspension and you'll find it tolerable for DD. I've done a few trips that have been over 2-3 hours long with no fatigue. The Recaro seats are really comfy in my opinion and support my back a lot better than other cars.

Enjoy your new X and welcome soon to a awesome family.

Coming from a RSX Type S, I'm pretty sure the Evo can't be any worse. The RSX seats were so uncomfortable and you could feel every single bump in the road. Thanks!

The SSS is very nice. I had a base 05 GSR before my 08 GSR.

The Rockford Fostgate speakers/sound system is great, and the trunk sub definitely hits nice.

The HID's are awesome, they have a little adjustable dial on the lower panels of the dash, so you can move them up/down as needed. Have a nice cutoff line too, pretty sharp for a factory projector. Reminds me of the Acura projectors.

Congrats on picking the Evo. You will be really happy. Bang for the buck it's hard to beat in the performance department vs other cars on the market today.

i wouldn't credit that to the seats more than i would the suspension and ground clearance of the car + wheels tho...
