I love my EVO but....
I am thinking about getting a Porsche Cayman, I miss the rear wheel drive experince. Its not that I dont love the EVO, I do, but I miss being in a low slung rwd corner carver.
Has anyone ever driven or owned a Cayman....if so please relate the driving experience. Thanks!

Great car, awesome sounding mid-engine, nice handling, but you can't completely shut off the traction control.....
I eventually sold it and bought a dedicated track car ('87 Carrera) and now I am loving racing it without the intrusion of traction control, ABS or power steering.
Point is, I am actually contemplating buying another toy, and instead of a CaymanS I am thinking of an EVO X because it's versatility on a track event during the summer, and a snow rally event in the winter.....the way I see it I would get much more out of an EVO.......... and I have never even driven one yet.....
I shocked the local Ford dealer today when I pulled up in my GSR, I proudly parked it right up front with the cars on display outside of the showroom. I went in and sat down in a Shelby GT 500, it was over $60,000 and was in the showroom. I actually went in hopes of seeing a Boss 302, I was told they only get 2 a year and that if I wanted one, Id have to put 1,000$ down and order it and they didnt know when it would be in, but that th wait would be less than 6 months wait....Ive heard such amazing things about the Boss.
Has anyone driven a Boss 302....if so do tell....heard the handling is amazing.

My best friend has a '12 Boss. I drove it several times. Honestly it sucks compared to any of the cars i've owned. (See earlier in thread for those. ) It felt big and heavy. Slow reflexes. It is just like every other american sport car; its not fast due to the chasis only due to the big motor.
I went from a 2009 MazdaSpeed3 which was tons of fun but a handful to drive with all the torque steer to a 2012 M3 DCT. I hated the M3 and regretted not getting an EVO. After a year with the M3, i dumped it to get a 2013 GSR!
The M3 had too much over steer and I didn't like having to look down all the time to figure out what gear I was in with the twin clutch.
I take turns faster with the EVO than I ever did with my M3. I got hooked on all wheel drive cars when I had a BMW 330xi.

Awd is very forgiving at the point of disappearing talent
I agree, I also don't think Me driving my old M3 DCT could hang with Me driving my EVO X GSR on mountain roads and the ridiculous turns where I live.
For me, the M3 was like driving a big motor around on wheels. It was a track car only. The X is nimble and just claws its way up the cinder filled roads where I live! I regret not getting one sooner. I could have saved a lot of $$$

No Boss for me, Id miss my EVO way too much. No Porsche either...
+ My plan is to keep her (EVO) forever
Plus she will be paid off in about a year and a half....I took the 0% for 36 months option.
