Not saying they do but some were going on about how modded cars are being turned down by dealerships in older threads.

Not sure if this has been answered. I'm the second owner of my evo x. It's a 11 that has 19k on it. Will mine be under warranty still?

Received my letter last week, you guys don't think there's any chance of them reflashing the car while in for this service do you?

Yes, I had my X in just to get diagnosed for the issue and got it back with stock tune. I uninstalled my tune when I took it back for them to replace the pump. Not sure if telling them you have a tune and not to wipe it would void warranty on the pump (regardless of the pump being replaced due to corrosion). Good luck!

Had mine fixed last Wednesday, after receiving the warranty extension last Saturday! 94,000 miles went out at about 82,000. The only thing I wondered is if the new pump was identical to the old one or if Mitsu has done anything to modify it, does anyone know?

turbo back exhaust, air filter, upper intercooler pipe, and perrin flash, no issues with dealership.

If they do the cold reflash (if your car hasn't had it done) then yes it will mess with your tune...you need to ask them what they're doing to your car while in the shop. If your pump has failed and they replace and bleed the lines only then you're ok.

ACD pump replaced under warranty at 75,000km

I was happy when the price of the ACD pump replacement dropped from $3,000 to $1,500. I was extra happy when it dropped to $0. As stated earlier, the warranty for this part is now 10yrs or 150,000 km.

I had the 2hr job done yesterday at a Montreal dealer. Courtesy car provided. I expect the part will fail again within the extended warranty period. I have another 75,000 km and 5 years for this to happen!

If Mitsubishi had admitted this flaw earlier and covered it on warranty, they would have spent the same $ on the replacement parts and labour, but saved their reputation that was seriously damaged by this issue for otherwise brand-loyal customers. Better late than never though.

You don't need to receive the letter btw, you just need to have the dealer diagnose the problem and they'll order the new pump. Even if you've had the problem diagnosed earlier, Mitsubishi instructs the dealers to diagnose it again (!) and submit the mileage to them.
