I'm looking at the Cobb Stage 2 if I get an Evo X. I've read good reviews about it in here and it would be perfect for DD
Edit: Also considering the Perrin Stage 3

Installed my dual port TurboSmart bov. Wow, its really loud. At full boost if you let off it scares people, ive already had a driver swerve and almost cause an accident over it lol. So be careful if you go with a part vta bov. Sounds like the stock one, but flutters more and is about 2-3 times louder. I love it

VTA vs Full recirc... i watched a video about myths regarding both. There is NO difference performance wise. The ONLY difference is when it comes to stock vs aftermarket. Stock bovs cant hold over 25 psi. Anyway, i will go film a video in a bit here. Gotta charge the gopro though hehe

The bov sounds sweet! So since, bov got myth busted we can actually run HKS ssq bov on our X now? Whats was the deal with our X being factory recirc instead? People on this forum say if we need to get an aftermarket bov, it should be recirc instead vta since that's how our X is made to begin with else it can hurt our engine but, after watching that myth busted you tube vid I'm confused now. So can we straight vta with HKS ssq or we have to recirc still? What he said makes sense in the video but these are Mitsubishi engineer our X where does the full boost air go after it recirc? Does it actually go back to the turbo and is hurting it with all that boost causing it to flutter?

Um lemme explain. You want at least a partial recirc bov, not full vta. You can go full vta, but its a hassle that isnt worth it. I scare people with mine on 50 50 vta vs recirc. The hks ssqv4 has an optional recirc adapter you can buy, so if you want the ssqv get that too. The reason for this is because the stock intake and any other intake you buy is made to have a recirc bov. Meaning if you dont, theres a giant hole in your intake where the bov should be attached.

Never knew this guess intakes are different for turbo cars vs na. So, would this turboxs dual port 50/50 be better then just recirc or no difference on the engine longevity vs full recirc? It's strange I can hear your bov like in beginning but later when you step on it in full boost somehow i can't hear it go off your exhaust overpower the sound or must be my ears lol. I will have to listen to it again appreciate the vid.
