Upgrade path

Say I started with a stock Evo X, what would a good upgrade path be to say 350ish HP?

Preferably things that wont completely break the bank

With tune or you could be breaking the bank on a new motor!

Id say turbo back, drop in filter, uicp and boost controller. definitely get the drop in if you're on a budget, there's not much to be had between the drop in and intake.

What's the best drop in filter to get? I've been told many times that OEM intake on a X is more then enough.

It is. A good drop in would be Cosworth. Had it on my X and IX.

350 on what dyno? That answer will complete change what is required. Check my thread out here for just how much of a difference the dyno type makes: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-bult-ons.html (358who on dynojet, 320whp on mustang)

It would be more helpful if you said how much horsepower you would like to gain over stock then just an number.

Totally agree. A setup that is reliable, and can easily be restored to stock if something does go wrong.
