Also would you recommend a access port?

I had my car tuned at TopSpeed here in Atlanta. 93 Oct. Drop-In Filter, Cat-Back Exhaust with High Flow Cat, and a Electronice Boost Controller(Cobb 3 Port) and made 345whp. Just throwing that out there so you have a target. Also those numbers are from a DynoJet.

stage 1 is a flash/tune

stage 2 adds catless/high flow catted exhaust (turbo back)

stage 3 is open to debate - used to mean a turbo swap, now Cobb adds an EBC?

Another question would be the difference between catless/turbo back and catted. I know cat means catalytic converter. But what are the benefits and downfall of getting catless and stuff

I ordered the AP already. I don't know what a UICP.

By leaning out what do you mean? Also would you recommend gauges?

Of course you want to go catless you'll notice huge gains there. UICP=Upper intercooler pipe. And I'm sure everyone would advise you to get the AFR (Air Fuel Gauge) Good luck with your build

See, my point exactly. There is no one definition for "Stage ___."

And yes, if you go catless you will throw a CEL, unless you have your car tuned by an actual person. Unless you plan to try to "ninja mod" your car (i.e. Keep a warranty LOLOLOLOLOL), or want to use multiple tunes, an AP isn't worth the $400 or whatever.

You can find v2 AP's for about $200 in the classifieds

I DON't want CEL light. That thing has ALWAYS haunted me. Plus if i go to inspect the car every year I don't want any worries.

I'm probably going to just get a UICP, a intake, a catback exhaust with the accessport.

The CEL is easy to get rid of. If you're worried about inspection then just get a high flow cat.

The best bang for your buck mods are
1. Test pipe
2. 3 port boost controller (I have a grimmspeed)
3. A good tune

I have other supporting mods, but these three got me about 100whp and 100wtq

If you just want to make some good power on the cheap, I would try those first.

If you can spend some more money I would add an intake and exhaust to make it sound good and probably a uicp.

Depends on emission testing in your state.
