Flutter? Intake/Turbo/BPV?

I recently noticed now when I'm driving like a grandma trying to save gas. hahaha! ok ok, back to what I was trying to say... When I drive with half throttle going up in rpms i notice a slight flutter sound. When I go full throttle, spool and recirc sounds normal. I'm wondering if that's just the MAF limiting the amount of air being sucked in, since everyone knows I have just a cone filter with no tune. weird. I doubt it's a boost leak, cause I have no other mods. Wondering what's up?

flutter is normal under no/low boost, surge is what you don't want.

normal, you can hear it more now due to the cone filter vs box.

I have a synapse dv and under light acceleration in 4th and 5th I get what I would classify as surge because the car will stutter until I apply more throttle or less. Would tightening the spring on the dv help or worsen the problem?

This is a tune issue that will happen even with the stock tune. Only way to get rid of it is custom tune. Need to zero out your Fuel Enleanment on Tip-out table or just run speed density.
