Best is very subjective. Do some reading around, Google searches will likely yield better results than the forum search function though.

I've had the ETS intake for almost 20k miles and no complaints. In fact, as soon as I installed it I noticed a huge increase in blow off valve sound (stock). Utilize Youtube to see what sound you are looking for as far as blow off valves, but I have not seen a reason to upgrade my blow off valve purely for sound. I'll take that 300-400 and put it to better use.

You'll notice a trend here... keep the stock blow off valve unless doing a full build.

Stock BOV is plenty good to 400whp, and if you want the wooshy sound, trust me you'll get it from the stock BoV as soon as you choose that intake. It also depends on what route you're taking. If you are going for a complete custom set of parts, you can use whatever you want. Most will say ETS, AMS, K&N or AEM. Also if you choose any of these 4 and are using a COBB AP and off-the-shelf maps, you can easily update the MAP calculation tables without strapping onto a Dyno.

If you want an effective solution: Stock BOV and ETS/AMS Intake

If you want a sweet whoosh sound while sacrificing performance: HKS SSQV

Best intake = loudest

The stock airbox is not a restriction. There isn't any horsepower to be found until your in the stratosphere of power. But that isn't the reason for an intake on an X. The reason is to let all those awesome sounds out. Your not losing performance because the intercooler will knock down any heat picked up from an under the hood filter. I combined the best of Apexi and AEM, and the result is the loudest intake I have ever heard while retaining good filtration:

On my old set up I had the GFB diverter valve. Had no issues with it and you could recirc 100% or vent completely in to the atmosphere. If you want to the swoosh sound I would get one of these.

My current set up is using tial diverter valves. No issues at all.

Ahh this debate could go on forever. I recommend using our magic system called Search lol
I have a 14
AMS Intake
NGR Type S BOV

Intake for spooling sound (AMS, ETS, AEM, etc) Just make sure you get a heat shield because there have been issues with idling from what I read online when I asked the same question as yourself.

BOV for the "WHOOOSHHH" remember: our car loves recirculating valves.
Popular brands: (TurboSmart: louder version of stock, GoFast Bit: niceeeeee, HKS: Known to leak.. but there is good and bad reviews up to you really, NGR Type S: Refined version of Greddy Type-S unique sound, Stock: PERRFECT for stock application and you could crush it, Synapse DV: Great as well, etc)

Tuning is also recommended afterwards.
