He did not.
He brought his own to the shop.

I would not have left that shop without a check or cash in hand for brand new side skirts.

Like your are better off asking a teenager to do it then pepboys lol.

DO IT YOUR SELF and **** like this will never happen. Learned my lesson quick when I had my X. The DEALER put in conventional oil and never told me. Dumb part on me not asking but its pretty common sense as the 2008 X's came with synthetic oil from factory. After that I just started doing my oil changes my self. Makes me feel more secure than a **** at pep boys doing the work.
Mitsubishi switched factory fill to conventional. They also come new with conventional now. You can either pay extra (a ton) to get synthetic, or bring your own. I would just bring one of those big jugs of mobil 1 high milage (like $20 some at walmart) and pay for an OEM filter. Mine was under warranty though.

w claim

You can go the route of filing an insurance claim. Your insurance company will go after PepBoys for the cost. It's what we pay for.

Bumping this thread to add a similar situation...

So I bought a brand new 2014 X GSR, a week later I'm driving around doing some errands when I hear a noise coming from my driver-side tire.

Turns out to be a screw with a minor leak.

Since I'm 20 miles from home I stopped near a Mavis Discount Tire to have them patch and plug the tire.

Mind you - at this time my car has 81 miles on it...

They drive it up on to a Rotary Lift that has no jack mounts - it was one of the flat lifts.

Needless to say they damaged my aero kit...

Luckily before I spoke to the regional manager - I had the manager write me a letter on the Mavis Letterhead saying they damaged the vehicle.

I want brand new sideskirts as the car is... brand new. I'm not taking anything less.
