Sorry, just saw this post. bmxhotsauce has a pic of the correct ID1050 injectors, no idea how these others got out in the market because fitment was crap. I ended up wasting more money and got the plastic bodied / blue o-ring injectors and they literally dropped in flush and seated like it supposed to be. Plenty of space and nothing rubbed. No retune needed since it was already scaled to ID1050s. The only thing that was "messed" up with the funky fitting was I could smell gas in the cabin, AFR and boost was right where it should be. Once I noticed the gap I didn't want to chance things so purchased new ones from MAP, which were the correct ones. Sorry about your luck, ID never emailed me back as to why there's so many variations to the exact model number vehicle specific.

Hey Snafufx,

thanks for for the follow up man. I think I know what happen in your case. When you got your set bought from someone on Facebook. The dude realized he bought the wrong one, so he bought another set with the right part# and swap the box and sold you the universal part# in evox specific part# box. Quite devious. Haha.

Reason is because I have the same exact problem you have with the universal part# (none “b”) installed right now. I too smell a little bit of fuel vapor in the cabin.

i am in the process of getting a set specifically made for evox, because I have the same fear as you.

thanks a bunch for bringing this up otherwise I would not have paid attention to them, as they were installed by the shop.

Wow, I didn't even bother investigating that. I googled Universal ID1050x (Never knew injectors had a universal set) and they look exactly like the wrong ones we have which is great news. I wasn't about to resell due to not working for Evo X and wasn't sure what to do with them, at least now I can mark them as universal barely used and make a little cash back. I'm a bit pissed the shop we both probably used never said a word though. I'll PM you in a sec.

Here is the picture of the box for the Universal part# (None EVO X Specific, hence missing the 'b')

I brought the same injectors off of someone from Facebook as well. Mine also doesn't sit flush because the plugs would hit the engine block. How did you manage to fit yours in?

I attempted to slowly dremel the intake manifold and decided against it and bought the correct injectors. I don't like the idea of spacers due to gas leaking out so didn't chance it.

Both the bodies are plastic. Only difference are the adapters. Injectors are exactly the same across the difference cars ID offers injectors for. Only thing that changes are the adapters they put on them.
