Ayc and asc along with 2 step.
Fairly new owner and I'm trying to figure out what these things are that people are mentioning. I accidentally held in the traction co troll butting on my 15 evo x and it said ayc off.. what exactly is ayc and asc people are talking about. And does 2 stepping out a lot of strain on your turbo or engine and trans? Just want some info on these topics. Thanks
Traction control cuts fuel when it detects tire spin.
2-step/Launch control is pretty awesome, but can be rough on your clutch.
2-step is pretty easy to do. From a stand still:
1. Press clutch.
2. Press accelerator and hold rpm maxed. From factory this is something like 5500rpm.
3. Release clutch. Too fast and it will bog down, too slow and you are wasting time and clutch.
If you don't have traction control disabled, then you will start to spin tires and it will cut fuel.

Amazing what less than five seconds of effort on google will do.
I searched for "Mitsubishi AYC ACS" and magically got this, what a time we live in!

Dude is pumped about a new to him car, do you have to roll out of your cave to **** on everything - everytime? Just skip the thread if you have no interest - or - crazy idea - be nice and share basic knowledge with new members.
Yes you have been there, done that, and seen it all before.
Without new threads, even in some cases redundant - this board would cease to exist.
