What’s in my Evo?
What’s in my Evo?
So a few weeks ago I purchased my 2010 Evo GSR. Now I thought the car was stock but I guess no..?
Im going to sound awful saying this but I’m not too car smart and I’m trying to learn. From what I’ve noticed there seems to be a short throw (or is it the factory throw?) and quite the tune, when I tried looking through my access port to figure some things out I got up to 33.4 PSI of boost. Now I know that means it’s tuned.
So, I’m just curious on how I can find out what’s all been done to the car

You should take pictures of the engine bay so people can offer suggestions on what they can see - Past that you could find a local EVO shop and bring it there to look it over, and if needed, properly tune for the parts that are on it. With it being a 2010 GSR - chances are it was modded lol.
Some good first options / steps to take.

Didn't the previous owner tell you anything about the car? Why would you assume it was stock? Where did you buy it from? You bought this car not looking over it at all? What platform are you coming from? Not providing any details sort of makes it difficult for anyone to tell you anything about your car. We can sit here and play craps and just throw random thoughts at you, but won't help if we have nothing to go off of.
I agree with Napalm, it would be best to take it to an Evo shop.
If you are using the Access Port, it seems like it would be obvious that it is tuned using the Access Port, considering the AP changes the maps. I'm also assuming that you do not have an actual boost gauge installed. From what I remember, the Access Port doesn't read actual boost pressure and it's just "around" what the real boost is. So if you are running the Stage 1 map and the car has an upgraded intercooler or testpipe or something, the boost will spike higher which is dangerous.
If you are actually running 33.4 lbs of boost, and you have the stock motor, the stock block will blow soon. If you are really running 33lbs that means the motor was probably built already.
But yes post pics of the motor, exhaust, what you can under the car, etc.

33lbs on the stock turbo isn't blowing motors on the right fuel and timing. Hell, even on a size or two larger turbo.
PSI doesn't equal cylinder pressure.
Now if it was a 6466 car, that would probably be a safe guess.

I understand the point he is trying to make, but that is a pretty broad assumption. We don't even know OPs setup.
