Evo X MR - 2015 - Mod Recommendations
Recently purchased an Evo X MR a couple months ago with 35k miles completely stock. After dailying it for the months I've had it, I looked into what I'm gonna need to start pushing the car to be faster and most people are saying I'm going to need to do a transmission upgrade if I wanna start reaching higher numbers. Currently I am not in a position to start spending a ton of money on big boy upgrades like that but I am looking to see if theres anything in the 1-3k department on making the car slightly more faster/louder/overall more fun. If I could get some advice that would be great! Thanks in advance!
The biggest thing with SST cars is having the budget to knock out a lot of the preventive things on the car, such as reinforcing the transmission. Now in your budget you could do a few bolt ons, but it's important to find a tuner that can actually tune for the SST.

Dodson heated sump for the trans, intake, test pipe or high flow cat, catback exhaust, 3 port boost controller, tune. That will get you about 320-330whp and the same for torque and really bring the car to life.
1-3k range you’re going to be looking at basic bolt ons and a tune. To max your budget I would say 3port BCS, 3” exhaust from the turbo back and a tune. If you can break the budget a bit I would suggest fuel pump (walbro 450), flex fuel kit and injectors (~1300cc), possibly a fpr. It would save you money in the end to have this setup if e85 is available near you so you won’t have to adjust your tune later and leaves room for more when you get bored (which you may) and want to upgrade your turbo.
