Evo x Headache....
Hello guys! Old Evo veteran returning here! I have recently bought a 2013 Evo GSR from a auction in Iowa! Super clean car but had a very small fire in the engine bay. I since than pulled old engine and old upper chassis harness And replaced them both. When trying to start the car I get a bunch of warnings and notifications on the dash and the car will not crank at all And fans would be blowing! I benched the ecu because I figured it was bricked and after successfully flashing and reading tunes I installed the ecu, the fans were not running but no progress Still a turn key no crank. When testing out fuses I pulled fuse #22 and when I went to turn the key just to see if maybe it would crank some how all the fans came back on blowing super hard. I can hear the fuel pump and fuel going to the injectors but that's it. I have also ruled out my key chip as I have replaced the battery. Car and ecu have matching vin numbers also. I have mut111 installed on my laptop and but it will not connect to the ecu Via tactrix but yet I am able to flash and install tunes using ecuflash. while having my girlfriend crank the car I checked the starter solenoid wire and zero volts coming through it while down there I have tested the voltage on the battery connection on the starter 0 voltage there. on the forums I have read that people accidently plug in a plug into the ac condenser and I realized I made the same mistake. Swapped out pigtails and boom still no crank have checked all fuses and relays and even replaced all the typical starter, fuel relays with updated ones. Is it possible that I triggered the Immo? Am I missing anything or does anybody live around Southern MN than can come out and help me trouble shoot? I really don't want to take it to any performance shops cause everyone is so backed up. What would cause me to have no power to the whole starter? Isn't the starter connected to 12 volts on the fuse tower in the engine? Battery is good voltage and i have tested where the alternator harness plugs in and its reading 12 volts? PLEASE SOMEONE GIVE ME SOURAGE TO SLAY THIS THING.. I thought I posted earlier but idk if it went through :/
the starter should have 12v from the battery on the bigger lead. So I'de check that out. You should also check out the neutral safety switch on the clutch pedal. That could stop the engine from cranking if it's not working correctly.
