I have no doubt that this is not a complete Evo under the mule bodywork or even an Evo at all. Like I said earlier, all we can take from this is that Mitsubishi is actively developing some sort of small car. What is it definitely not is some kid's idea of a sleeper evo. What kid would relocate the fuel filler or spend the time and effort to alter the track of their car only to leave a stock looking front end? Or convert their car to RHD for that matter.

I still think there is a lot more info we can learn from these pics, and hopefully we'll be seeing more pics in the future of different mules.
notice that big white thing strapped in the back seat on the left hand side. that is probably what's weighing down the left rear so much. and notice that they're using RS doors. and, even though they're using crappy steel rims, they look like 17" rims, so those may be full size tires, it's a little hard to tell though.
probably testing the drivetrain, that makes the most sense. or maybe a new dsg style transmission, they've said numerous times they're very interested in developing something like that for the next evo.

- altezza tail lights are on the shelf, and available to fit in the holes in the CT9A rear end
- could be doing suspension testing, or could be calling in saying the suspension he's testing just failes (wiseass comment here)
- test mules are not treated really nicely, because they're not supposed to look good and attract attention.
I'm not saying this is an evo. it's a mule just a "beast of burdoen" out doing testing....
