Lancer Evolution X News, Info, Pics, etc... | [ALL THREADS MERGED]
sorry I was trying to relate the same point you were. the drivetrain and suspension are all that matters on that car. the bodyshell and it's appeance means nothing. sorry if I came across as harsh.

interesting photos, but they really don't do us any good. it obviously pieced together from various lancer parts bins, and we have no idea what the guts are.
also, i have a hard time believing the X will be shown in tokyo this fall, let alone it showing up here in 06. i'm guessing they mean the IX. keep looking though, i really want to see some sketches even for the 07 lancer and evo X (and not that BS photoshop of the X everyone fell for).

If that actually happens the IX will be short-lived indeed.
Good or bad who knows, but the IX could be a very limited production run.

so what do you guys think this particular mule is out testing?
hard to tell, it's got some odd bits on it.
I doubt they're testing the engine because I can't see a gigantic intercooler, and it doesn't have all the standard air inlets and hood opening, seems like it wouldn't be a very good setup to test that.
they could be testing suspension, but look at those wheels and tires, those don't even look like performance tires. and look at those seats, those are standard lancer seats. it could be testing the awd system, but again, look at those tires...
it's hard to tell exactly, but the exhaust looks pretty small too. might just be the angle of the picture.
and what's up with the saggy rear end, and that weird box on the gas cap? and are those US plates on it?
well, anyway, it's the only real first look we've had, so it's better than nothing.

so the Evo X will be built on the same CT9A chassis? I didn't think so...I think this pic was just a test car...looks like a Ralliart front bumper and the rest is all Evo stuff....
think they are testing Evo X mechanical parts on it...
