Lancer Evolution X News, Info, Pics, etc... | [ALL THREADS MERGED]
this thing actually causes me physical pain to see. jesus. looks like ill be lookin' at suby after this generation... sheesh.
and this doesn't make sense. 2003-2005 the evo 8. 2006 evo 9. 2007 the evo 10? i guess the 9's will have the shortest run of all time?
where is this article from? there are weird problems with its grammar and consistency.

all i want is to put that MIVEC thats comin on the evo 9 onto my evo 8. thats all i care about. i got an evo dont need another one especially the 10, unless it gets a face lift. dont like the fact that the 10's engine will have any relation of any kind to hyundai. even though the tiburon is a pretty good car, bad on emission though

The article states that the engine will be a "spin-off" of the co-developed engine with chrysler and hyundai, and that the c-platform which was co-developed with chrysler, will be on the X but will show up on the outlander first.
Nothing in this article states that the platform is shared with the next-gen neon.

I remember when the 3g eclipse concept pictures came out, it looked really futuristic for its time. Concept pictures will always look funny to us. Just wait til the actual car comes out and it'll slowly start looking "normal" to us.
Thank you RU4Real, as I have not visited evom.net since I last posted in this thread....Terry, this has been common knowledge for quite some time now. Well, for most of the hardcore people anyway.
I think that article is pretty old. That means the Evo IX will almost be non-existant. It also seems that the article mentions nothing about Mitsu's problems and DiamlerChyrstler splitting with them.
But I'd agree that thing looks like sh*t. Whoever designed that POS needs to be shot. It looks like a friggin Mercury Cougar got rear ended by a Neon then it went to have sex with an RSX.
Good thing it's a concept........................................... .......................

well the 3rd generation eclipse concept was awesome looking and when the production version came out, what a major dissappointment. Concepts usually look much better than the actual production car.
