Mitsubishi has been one company that usually brings to production what concept cars they show. Biggest example is the Eclipse, with that I have to say this concept looks ugly. For those of you that say, "who buys a car based on looks?" .... a majority of people including myself do. That is why I want to buy a EVO MR over a WRX STi, looks ..... the STi is just plain ugly ....

Your forgeting looks are a judgement, not a clear black and white issue. I for one like the way the STi looks over the Evo. Its all subjective.

That wasn't exactly what I meant.. Looks do factor in but who buys an Evo with looks being the most important factor? There are so many hot coupes out there that look quite a bit better. I understand that people have different tastes but I find it hard to believe that the Evos performance prowess wasn't it's most enticing feature. There is so much you would be neglecting to appreciate if you bought an evo simply because of how it looked.

i think it has potential. how about wider fenders that have break cooling vents. definately get rid of the rsx type-r wing. maybe bring back an oldschool spoiler from a previous version.

we'll just have to see if mitsu survives before they can make an evo 9 or 10. it sounds like it's turning into a friday the 13th series which flopped after part 6. the evo's best model is still the 7. i don't mind my 8 as i can use alot of tried and true 7 parts. currently checking into cusco mz lsd's...

I like the front, hate the wheels, hate the mid body styling, hate the end, hate the wing... Not sure im really a fan of the headlights either...Although, I for one think that All the evo's take the backseat when it comes to the looks of the Evo 7.

Where are the blistered fenders? It looks like a slab-sided Acura TSX with its nose cut off. And why those wimpy BMW foglamps? Does anyone else miss the EVO V foglamps?

I never said looks aren't a judgement (read carefully)..... but its the potential buyer's "subjective" opinions that drive them to buy one manufacturers car over the other. Therefore looks is a factor that affects potential sales of cars ...... People buy what they like, whether it be looks, performance, reliability or price .....

that is one of the fugliest cars I have ever seen....needs a bigger FMIC to fill that gigantic space and i dont know about the wheels...kinda ghetto...although the final product will probably look nothing like that.

That picture of the Evo X definitely has a Neon look to it - not my bag at all. The IX is likely to be the last real Evo - the X likely being a Chrysler platform, though all bets may be off after Daimler Chrysler pulling out of Mitsubishi. After the IX the USDM and European Evos are supposed to be based on different platforms and go in different directions according to an article in Autocar (GB) a while ago. Let's hope that the IX looks as good as the VIII and is a few pounds lighter yet with a few additional horsepower.

Yes I miss the Evo IV, V and VI fog lights, they give the car that agressive look for some reason
I consider the Foglights, the Hood vents, Brembo Brakes, Big F**king spoiler, key trade marks for the Evo, definitely need the Big fog lights back.
