Lancer Evolution X News, Info, Pics, etc... | [ALL THREADS MERGED]
All the new model looks just take some getting used to. I remember when the EVO8 pictures first came out, everyone thought it was ugly compared to the 7. IMO, now the 7 looks a little outdated compared to the 8.

jury's out on my side... those wheels are hideous... the wing, hopefully they'll keep this seemed near indestructable CF one... don't like that hood scoop much... needs the aggresive fenders... and i like these headlights w/integrated foglights the best to date... better stay AWD Turbo, and they need to just tweek the current motor a lil' bit and at most, stroke it out if they want more displacement... but, i'd say just build it even tougher than it is now and raise the boost and throw in some nice headwork with some cam trickery...
and yes, that IX's headlights need to go... don't want something taken off a civic si on a evo...

The X is a bit ugly, but the VIII isn't winning many beuty contests. Maybe if the STi is the only competitor. Didn't buy the EVO for its looks. I bought b/c of AWD and 270 Turbo charged ponies that respond well to mods.
I just want Mitsubishi to keep bringing that recipe to the US. If the X can deliver what the VIII does today then I will consider it.

As some of you have said it takes a little getting used to, But it is like a car wreck you can't help but keep looking, every time I look at it I like it more.
The rest of you guys who think the car is ugly, you have an opinion too, I liked the PT cruiser when it was in the concept version, but now they are just Clitoris cars, can't even stand them, those are Really ugly, the SSR is another, The 300C Why they decided to make a poor mans Bentley I will never know but even a Bentley is ugly. I also don't like the PROWLER,
The Evo is a car of it's own, personally I thought the Evo 8 Front with that Pontiac piece was ugly but now it has grown on me, especially when you look at the 8 concept drawings alot of those looked like crap.
I am sure they will come up with something, but I will say this it sure looks unique

i really like how the evos VI-VIII looks. i truely believe that it is something to get used to because when i first saw the evo 8, i said this is uglier compared to the 7 but when i saw parked next to each other, i said the 8 looks better.
What I joke 
The only thing interesting in that article was the mention of the new engine with Variable lift/timing....and that 300 hp number.
