That someone was me, and it's a good question in light of his comments. An Evo, after all, is all about the drive, not artistic design or luxury.

while being true, it obvious that he is looking for something that has both, and the evo doesnt offer that at the moment

 

then why did he start this thread in the first place? did he expect us to agree that the IX sucks and it's a smart move to wait 2+ years for a car that may or may not ever materialize, may or may not be better than the IX, and may or may not be in the same price range??

It's hard to compare two cars when one is not out yet in order to do a real world test. The EVO X may turn out to be great... however it may not. I think it would be hard to go wrong with a IX regardless.

 

sigh none of this will be on the real production car so just enojy the pic and move on

good. i dont care about no tricked out paddle shifter. i want a traditonal shifter. i might just wait for the X if this is true. even though the IX's are tempting. hopefully they'll make it a 6-speed.

 

I heard the XI comes with optional oil slick... I think i'll keep my VIII till then.

 

That's great news, having the choice is the way to go.

 

If you haven't driven a DSG audi or VW (only ones with it..not BMW or Ferrari as good when tested) then I would REALLY hold off on your opinion. It is the best out there...it is not a glorified automatic...it is a electronicly shifting a manual gearbox with no clutch pedal but it still has a clutch in the tranny(two actually) It is an amazing experience.

That being said....choices are still good

 

did they say yet if they will offer the X in something that doesn't look like ****?

 

come on....they need a 7gearbox like bmw
