I actually don't think this is too bad.....
wow all i have to say is gorgeous ! i love that set up, riding in the back seat might be fun now ! lol ... but what about the ride... aren't the back seats mounted right to the frame ? if so that might be a pretty bumpy ride without the 5 inches of padding like the bench seats lol what do you guys think ?
Tryed to post this as a thread under new MMC news but couldn't so here it is.
Mitsubishi Motors to Suspend Participation in the FIA World Rally Championship Series
Tokyo, December 14, 2005 — Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) has announced that it has decided to suspend participation in the FIA World Rally Championship series from 2006.
With the Mitsubishi Motors Revitalization Plan as a basis, MMC has made a solid start toward revitalizing its business operations. However, to strengthen and build upon this base, MMC realizes that it must focus management resources on the continued promotion of the revitalization plan.
Mitsubishi Motors hopes to return to the WRC Championship series from 2008, after the completion of the revitalization plan, which covers fiscal 2005 to 2007.
This decision however does not extend to MMC's efforts in the Dakar Rally (commonly known as Paris-Dakar). Mitsubishi Motors will continue to compete in this event.
— Starting with an overall championship in the Safari Rally in 1974, the Mitsubishi WRC Team has accomplished a spectacular 34 wins in the WRC series. The team won the drivers' title 4 consecutive years from 1996 to 1999, and won the prestigious manufacturers' title in 1998.

This is dangerous thinking. I mean the way how the X is perceived... It seems many see the X as more of a street racer and less of an off-road rally car. From what I’ve read Mitsu wants the X to be even closer to the rally car, to really flaunt their rally heritage. It seems however that most people can't get past the more modern look of the X, so they can't envision what a fully rally prepped version of the X would look like.
Do we really need or want another lowered street racer? The beauty to a rally car for the street is that you can drive it all year round without fear of snow, potholes or bumps, because it's tough and can easily survive winter driving. That pretty boy lowered photoshopped car would need to be garaged this time of year. I hope to drive my next car all year long… For that task I require something less fragile, something fast, AWD and rugged. If any I would like it raised up a inch or two with a wider track to compensate for the higher center of gravity.
