Pull the drain plugs and refill until it starts to stream out of the fill hole, indicating that its full.

Be Careful

I would be careful with the diff. I have changed my transmission fluid and it was a snap but the diff is a little bit different on the x. I will post what the service manual says to do. And you can take it from there. Sorry but the file is too big and it want let me post it. Needles to say in the service manual there is a bleeding step for the new diff in the evo x. Don’t want you to kill your car or your diff. You know how service techs are your fault no warranty. Okay now I got it but it’s just a little bit so you can see for yourself.

I believe they are referring to ACD fluid in that manual page, not the transfercase fluid.

None of that appears to apply.

Change Diff and Tranny fluid

If you look at the top of the page is does say that is for the diff and not the ACD unit. It works the same for the front and rear diff. That is what the service manual says anyway. It would help if I could post all of it.

The ACD unit calls for mitsubishi transmission fluid Sp3 (non-synthetic). Can I use AMSOIL AUTOMATIC TRANNY OIL?
