Its really not bad if you are willing to pick up a set of spring compressors and have an impact wrench (battery, electric, or compressor should work). Definitely worth doing all around for handling and look.

I did this install with some h&r springs this past weekend. The job is easier with two people but can be done by yourself. The biggest pain is if the front springs top bolt doesnt loosen and just spins the piston. I found putting a strap wrench on the piston itself worked then I was able to get that sucker off. Other than that it was a piece of cake and saved me $$$.

my question is for the front top nut.

after installing the entire thing back onto the car and i tighten up the top 3 nuts on the strut bar, what do i do with the top nut?

if i try tightening it the springs just spins and ends up messing with the rubber washer and i have to re do it all over again.

do i just wait until the car is back on the ground and then tighten the top nut?

thanks guys!

I had the same problem. I was all fired up to torque everything down with my new torque wrench, bout that sob just kept spinning. And messing up the alignment of everything. So plan B was to hold everything stationary while my buddy used an impact gun to snug everything up.

Great write up! My buddy and I had mine lowered in an hour flat, seriously... its really simple, the easiest car I have ever lowered and I have done a few!

Great write up. Just finished my Eibach Pros with this! Everything is pretty straight forward and I must say, an impact helped significantly
