Sink Strainer Dual Exhaust Mod

I planed it out (quick brainstorm) and it looks like it's gonna work.
Being very familiar with air duct sink strainers, (you know who you are too) I decided to take another shot!
Only this time it's for an exhaust setup.

I decided to custom modify and relocate my new single exit exhaust, to a dual exit exhaust .
Lol dual exit exhaust you say?

Teaser pic

lol
I hope to finish everything by the end of the month.
Wish us luck!

Okay
I finished cutting up the rear crash beam.
Plasma cutter FTMFW!!

Note: I didn't take pics of the removal, but you need to remove the crash beam to cut it.
I think it had 3 layers in the folds, without a plasma cutter it would of been tougher!

Need to relocate the metal straps that hold the rear bumper.

I doing 2-1/2" pipes, that should leave 1/4" space around the strainer.
I'm gonna make it less noisy too.
I figure I'm gonna loose maybe 1-2whp with all those bends that I'm gonna have.
It really doesn't matter because my new fpgreen that's on order is gonna make up for it :P

You know there's a very, very popular EVO with a similar exhaust???

Well the exhaust shop didn't have the type of steel exhaust pipes I wanted.
He's ordering the pipe, so next week install.

Gives me time to get the strainers painted anyways.

Debating either flush or sticking out past the strainers.
I think I'm going with the sticking out.

Here's a pic as reference sticking out flush with the bumper part.

And there lies the difference in you and me-- likely a few years in age as well.
Innovative, i'll give you that-- I just hate to see it. No hard feelings, good luck and lets see it finished. I'll bandage one eye and squint as not to be over exposed! maybe it will look like a mustang.

Sending this to your insurance provider, your insurance should be canceled any moment now. In all seriousness though, you do realize modifying the safety aspects of a vehicle really can screw you over right? Lets paint a picture per se, you just got in a minor rear end collision. Body shop pulls the rear bumper to find the crash beam modified. They report this to insurance, now you're paying for everything out of pocket. No insurance company will cover this claim even if other driver is at fault. Just something to think about.
