I have the same coilovers and same problem with mine at first. It the green ring at the bottom of the spring. Try tightening it up like another 5 full rotations and see if it goes away. That's what I did to mine and it went away. Basically if there isn't more tension on the spring it puts too much pressure on the joint at the top and it creates the popping noise, which sounds like the springs popping noise you are hearing. Also make sure once you tighten up the top green ring and you snug the bottom locking ring up to it that you use a hammer and a screw driver to hammer that ring up more so it won't come lose and then the popping noise will come back.

No you shouldn't be able to move the springs by hand. I would just snug them up a little more then see if it takes care of the noise.

Does it make a pinging or bong type noise everytime you turn the wheel right or left? I had the similar problems. I ended up getting Swift Thrust Sheets and it got rid of the noises all together.

You can also put some suspension grease on the top and bottom of the springs in the front and it should help.

Not sure what you mean exaclty but if they are brand new could it just be the springs settling in.

noises and clunking

So, I’ve had these (fortune autos) on my car for about a month now and made one longer trip (Long beach to Phoenix). I’m now getting squeaking and what sounds like metal hitting metal when going over bumps in the road. It sounds like it is coming closer from the top end than down near the wheel well but, hard to isolate on (Left front driver side). The (right front passenger side) is making a different noise in that when I slam on the brakes/hit them hard…there is a slight “clunk” afterward. I’m not sure where I should be looking or if there are some places you suggest I look that need to be tightened or loosened? Every time I lift the car on Jacks it obviously tightens everything up. So, makes it harder to assess where sounds are “loose”.

Is this the pre-load related? If anyone has any suggestions on where to look I'd be greatful. I feel like I'm at a absolute loss I've been trying to search the forum for answers.

Thanks,
EDIT: ISSUE RESOVLED, retightened bolts and greased up
