How Do I Know My Clutch Is Slipping??
well i was driving hometoday on the freeway and i noticed when i press on the gas when im on like 3000 rpms then it would jump up to 4000 then go back down to 3500 and i was just wondering if it was my clutch slipping or something is ****ed with my evo
yea that sounds like a clutch issue... I'd look into gettin a new one soon before it gets worse. Mine slipped about a week ago when I launched it from a light... So I'm babying mine till I get a ACT clutch ordered.
that's how it starts eventualy the clutch wont grab at all if you have some more hard launches it will happen alot quicker your goin to have to change the clutch. how hard were you on the clutch?

Perhaps you could try the Top gear - ebrake test.
Set the ebrake. Clutch in. Put the car in 5th gear. Give a little gas (hold the engine at 1-1.5k perhaps). Slowly let out the clutch all the way. If your RPMs start to drop and the engine dies you are okay. If your RPMs don't drop (or drops very slowly) and your engine doesn't die in a normal amount of time, then your clutch is slipping.
