Woah woah woah!
Are we talkin "Thee" Shelby GT-500, as in "Eleanor"???
Thats a collector car, and Ive seen it going for $1,000,000.00!!!
Im just gonna assume that were not...
However, why are you parents getting you an EVO (and an MR at that!)?
Your insurance is gonna go SKY HIGH being that youre not 21, and for a kid in Highschool asking about a Mustang V.S. and EVO MR for making his mind (unless youre basing what you want solely on looks), I would assume doesnt know much about driving or what power really Means/Is in general.
Why dont you get a Lancer OZ, and perhaps Turbo that... Not an EVO exactly, but still in the Lancer Family, reliable, fun to drive, and youll have your bit of power for when you wanna really push it sometimes... and the interiors basically the same **** anyway...! (Not to mention that, if you got 40Gs to spend, then Fu*k, you could Tune the **** outta that thing, and have a show car almost immediatly!
Smoke that Fugly-@ss Blue & Yellow RRM thing they got goin' on...)
Just a suggestion.
Let us know if you get the EVO

I think some people are against you because they are jealous and couldn't have bought something like that at their age. But you're a lucky one!
Ive been driving for alot longer than the law permits, Ill say that... Still my first car was a 4-SPEED Manual Buick Skyhawk, then my parents finally bought me a new Jeep Wrangler '98 when I got my license, which had MAD Torque!!! I smoked most people I raced in that thing (then I modified it too), Now I drive a 2003 Lancer ES that I Love to Tune, which my parents bought me for when I moved from Philly to Colorado for College in 2002.
So Ill stop yappin' now and get to the point... The ladder quote, is a good point, however to which I'll agree (cus I can sense a bit of the jealousy in myself too, tho Im not gonna throw it at you. I'll discard that sort of negativity.), Its true that youths ARE wreckless, and Youths DO get tempted to act foolishly thinking that they are in more control than they really are, and that they have more knowlage than they really do. Especially-so in the Vehicular Modification World... everybody knows sumtin' about sumtin' and our Ego's clash (cus thats all this street racing **** is, is a a contest of who's d!ck is bigger primarily...). Then finally you have an young inexperienced driver in a Brand New Super-Car... and it (EVO) IS a "Super-Car" up there with the Supra's and ****, ready to take it out for a spin only to soon Test its Limits....
We all want to and have/will. If you deny that I'll call you a liar, cus nobody buys an EVO just to be "the family sedan" or for the commune to work, and thats what this precision machine was built for right? YES, thats why its not an Auto!
So this kid's not wrong in doing so, an EVO is meant to be driven like its stolen...
Tho I say to you: If you had the AWD 3000GT VR-4 Twin-Turbo, then Id simply say
"You'll be aright, have fun dude!" but you didnt/dont. This is new to you...
So, be careful. Thats all.

...Ok, I got a pot goin'... 5 bucks whoevers in!!!
I bet a month before he doesnt heed our advice & he crashes the MR, closest bid gets the pot!
