I don't know if it better to get an EVO, the evo does have awsome handling, one of the best in handling and traction, but it kinda makes you feel like a super driver (untouchable, my car handles soo good) additude, which is very bad and can lead to terrible results.

If you look in a previous thread it was how old are the drivers of a evo, or something like that. The age on average was 18 to about mid 20's. I am 18, why dont you tell the bunch of other people that they dont deserve an evo.

we did and we will continue to do so (not that it matters, kids will never listen and will always thing that we have no clue what we are talking about).

evo_kid - great point which is what i am scared of. i have been driving awd cars for many years and also a member on awd forums such as this. the thing i see the most is young kids who get into these cars and automatically think that they are solberg/makinan. it is not entirelly their fault because the car does give you the "i am superman" feeling and it is always a problem. you really need to control yourself and know your car so you know when the limits are reached and how to back away slowly so you don't **** the beast off.

i was just going through some of the posts today and the one thing that i see time and time again is young kids saying "i am not like the other kids" "i have plenty of experience". i also found so many posts from a few months ago from kids who said that they know how to drive and than found later posts from them saying that they crashed their car.

That is true, all the kids that do buy fast cars probably all say that they will be careful. That is what i am going to say and thats what i said with my 3000GT, and i havent wrecked it so they trust me. It will have to be up to me when to say no this isnt a good idea and back away. I had one ticket with my 3000, it was a lane violation or something, stupid ticket. I went to the dealrship today and looked at one of their mr's, they only wanted 35k which i thought was good, dont know about the intreast tho. I just read in another post that they are not going to have that grayish color on the MR's anymore, is that true? Because out of all the colors now, i like that one the most. Will black and blue ever come?

Why do so many people hate teenagers driving nice and fast cars? There are mature ones out there whether or not you agree. Do you even know this kid? Maybe if you were his best friend and sat in the car with him everday you would know whether or not he has the "ability" to drive an evo. The best driver in the world could sit and type something and use incorrect grammer but still be the best driver in the world. I don't understand why so many people steer teenagers away from evos just because they are young. I'm not saying all teenagers can handle an evo but just don't judge them by their use of grammer. I believe that it is not right for any teenager to be handed a car that has a value of 40k not because they can't handle it but because they should work for things. If they get handed everything they will have not know how much it is really worth, how many hours their parents work to buy it for them. Some of you guys just tell him not to get it because you had a cheap car when you were young and you are jealous. If he is paying for half of it than I think that it is fine.

Now as for the evo mr's being available, I'm sure they will be. Mitsubishi makes so much money selling evos they won't just stop.

APPARENTLY youve changed your story so much that YOU need to read the whole thread.

allow me to do even more math for you since your high school cant seem to teach you.

20,000 is not equal to 35,000 last i checked

In other words, if your parents are infact only paying 20k your not getting an MR

But youll prolly change your story again

i never judged him based on his grammer or because of his age. i did however judged his choice based on his driving history and record. i honestly feel that 2 years of driving low performance cars (and a little bit of street racing ) is not even close to being enough to get you ready for cars like the EVO, STI and shelby mustangs. also, i clearly said that there are young kids that are responsible and will be able to control themselves.

i do not think that he is one of them based on the following comments he made:

1) "I might not have the track experince, but like a little street race and daily driving i do"

2) "My friend has a 13 sec Chevy Camaro and i have drove that before and have raced it, that gives me a little experince of more power"

3) and look at his screen name. any person that choose a name like that is obviously not a mature person. i am willing to bet that this kid will be street racing the first STI he sees on the road (or at least rev at him )

Yes, I guess you are correct. I think I missed a few of those. My post was more generally speaking because I have seen many posts of people judging teenagers. I guess I was just a little bit angry. Looking at a review of what he has said, he seems like he is not ready and not mature enough to drive an evo. He doesn't understand that it is so high performance and it doesn't compare to driving a 13 sec camaro around the block. He should probably wait until he graduates college and than he can buy it himself and by than he should mature a bit more.

Im sorry to say this but im not trying to be mean. YOU ARE ALL FULL OF SH$$T! I see your point, when did i ever say that i was going to race it? You are assuming that i will becaue of peer pressure. And as the guy before that said 20k is not equal to 40k. What is 20k from me and 20k from my parents? 20 + 20 is what?

it is quite possible that we are full of that something but we are not wrong no matter how you look at it.

you already said that you street raced a few times which is an indication of what you will do and your level of maturity.

as far as the 40k not equal 20k, you are right but it doesn't change the fact that you like to change your story to fit your needs. you already stated early on in the thread that "my parents are paying for the whole thing" so which one is it.

also, you can be mad all you want. the bottom line is that you are getting a free advice (and a damn good one) for free and yet you refuse to listen. everything that was said in this thread is based on experience. we were all kids once and we all did something stupid at one point or another. you are not special so don't think that you are. the advice we give you is not meant to make fun of you or insult you in any way. it is given to help you be a better person and to save your life. you will never understand the joy of owning a car that you paid for even if is a cheap POS that cost $500. you say that you will be paying for your car but who is paying for the insurance (i will let you find out how expensive it really is for a person your age) and also who will be paying for the regular wear and tear for the car? do you really think that YOU will be able to afford:

tires every 10k or so
clutch every 10k or (will be alot less if you race the car)
oil changes (oil is expensive even if your father changes it for you)
break pads (brembos are not cheap by any means)

and many other things that i am forgetting...

I payed for my car that i own now, and i pay for the insurance, the only thing that i dont pay for is my maintence, tires, oil change etc. But the only reason why i dont pay for the maintence is because my dad is a mechanic, so he offers to do it. And the information and adivce that all of you gave me i agree with it. But this thread wasnt about why i should or should'nt get a Evo because of my age or my "Maturity". I only posted this thread was to see if their was going to be limited supply of the 06 Evo 9 MR's that's it.

I went back to see if i had changed my story, and i did. Sorry, this thread was very complicated to comprehend. I see now where you said that 20k doesnt equal 40k, and all the other etc replys.
All i can say is sorry, but my parents are only paying half of the car, just to make it clear.
