alright, allow me to rephrase.
It is my believe that when a child disembarcing from levels 9 -12 in their educational career should not have a 40 thousand dollar automobile presented to them by their guardians, for the simple reason of the child not finding any type of respect in value for the possession of such a high cost transport that they might infact gain if they were to work vigorlesly for it themselves. bad parentle judgent if i do say so myself

this is just my opinion however

better blonde?? haha, but i dont remember calling anyone names....

Well i am glad that i am not your children because you are proabably one of those uptight parents. But that is just my "opinon", just because your parnets didnt buy you a car. And i bet if that they were to offer to buy you one you wouldnt say no.

oh they got me one, they got a mint 1964 1/2 mustang as my first car to get me started, 6.500 bucks, call me crazy but theres quite a price difference there, lemme do the math for you:

40,000 - 6,500 = 33,500

33.500 = the price i could pick up a new evo8

i guess the other addition tp my point would be the astronomical price of your fresh outta high school car, and yeah, if my parents offered id take it, but that doesnt mean i think its right, its all morals

Blonde: Thank you for finally stating the reasons why young kids should not own an Evo... If people would start saying this... and stop with the over-generalization that all of us are stupid immature morons who type incomplete and incoherent sentences, then the world would be a better place. (or at least less surprised that I'm only 19) Number 1 reason teens shouldn't have a fast car: PEER PRESSURE, (write that down)

Anyway, I got my first car (S2000) handed to me when I turned 15 7/12, learned how to drive stick on it, did some stupid things because of peer pressure, two of which got me involved with being targeted by cops, didn't have to worry about high insurance rate thanks to the family plan, and also got involved in a few street races early on... I got the Evo at 17 7/12 right around when I graduated. Second car. I have had the Evo for almost 2 years now and the only "accident" i have been in was accidently backing up to far, which barely scratched the bumper. There have been other problems, but they have very little to do with my age, and my clutch is still super strong.

The moral of this story EvoVSTi: Do whatever you want, but remember that driving a fast car does not mean you are required to drive fast (That's why a lot of kids I know end up doing stupid things, their "peers" pressure them by saying "you have such a fast car but you don't drive it fast") Of course I don't, you idiot, get out of high school and mature a little.

how about you either:

1) get your story straight

2) learn how to express yourself in a way that other people would understand

i totally agree with the fact that young adults that are in high school should not own ANY fast and expensive cars (evo in this case). when i got my license, my parents could have bout me a new 7 series BMW if they wanted to, shyt they could have bought me like 5 Evo's with the money they have, but they didnt!! and boy was i pissed when i had to settle for a $4,000 97 civic hatch!

i've had my license for almost 2 years now i got it when i was 18 and now i am soon to be 20 and boy am i glad they didnt get me and Evo back then!! thank the lord!!... i've realized how much i have matured since back when i was in high school! i think if i would had got an evo at the time i got my license i think these past two years would be worse than ever!!

i am sooo glad my parents made the decesions they made with me, and with me just being patient and clam about everything, they are willing to help me out with a some of the downpayment when i am able to buy the evo in march or april of next year.

i know that i am mature enough and financially ready for an evo now but i am going to wait until i am completely ready for it in march or april!.... i thinks its sumwhat good that parents want to give their kids what they want when they want, but it's the kids that make dumb@$$ decisions and take advantage of it.

and i would have been one of them if my parents were to give in and buy me an Evo when i asked for one!

in a way you've pointed out something interesting..i dont want this kid to buy an evo BUTT if he were going to buy a 300 hp car i'd rather him get an awd car with amazing traction that is basically a lot harder to lose control of than a car with 300 hp that is rear wheel drive. at least the power will be "a little" more under control just be careful whatever you do man i hate seeing crashed evo posts not saying that you will crash yours but statistically #'s dont lie its just more likely

useless. This car will not be respected for what it is. He feels he deserves it.
