Clutch restrictor pill/5k 2step = clutch killers?

I have a new ix, about 3k miles on it...broke it in for about 1k launched maybe 2 or 3 times. Recently put on my turbo back and tried to launch with it and I noticed it chattered/slipped and then took off but I smelled clutch really bad. Tried it again a few days later and the same result.

Every gear holds fine but it seems it cant take the launches. I highly doubt I killed the clutch that quickly with just a turboback and no tune...is the low 5k 2 step and restrictor pill making me slip the clutch too much to get a decent launch?

I have recently put 50k on my stock clutch... I'm pushing around 330whp/330tq and have about 40 launches on my clutch ... I knew with the amount of wear and tear on myclutch, and the milage it was going to go (Slip to death) ... And I've also recently been flashed with a 5600 2-step/launch control ...

Couple friends and I went to the track 2 weeks ago and the launches finally fried my clutch - it slips in every gear now .... Better a fried clutch then a F'd up T-Case though!

And P.S. I cry when I see people with 5k-10k and there clutches going - it means they dont know how to drive stick!

I fail to see your point as both cars are different.

Uhm, ok...thanks for your help rnm. Don't know why you have an attitude with me when I was just asking for a little help.

But anyway...figured maybe it was the clutch slipping somehow already but I went on the highway in 4th and 5th and no spiking...tried launching again but this time coming off very fast on the clutch and bogged so it seems to be holding well, maybe I really rode the clutch off the line those other times.

i've found it easier with less clutch smell if you rev up and let the car roll a tiny bit before actually letting the clutch go. The clutch seems to slip a little less that way. With the 5k launch, when u dump the clutch, it still slips... at least on my car... but i dont actually get any clutch slipping when not launching.
