Evo IX Value in a year???

Hey Guys,

Well, I am IN LOVE with the Evo IX. I am wondering how much you guys think it will be worth next year from now, late summer. I cannot pay for a new one at the moment due to finicial reasons (i still am a student ).

Any thoughts on them? Obviously used, but im thinking about 6-12k miles in PRESTINE condition.

Thanks,

TJ

i have a feeling the X may play a big role in the value of the 8's and 9's once they come out.

I think it's very hard to say. If the X is tunable, the IXs will drop in price faster than the VIIIs did when the IX came out. If the X is a dog, you're looking at a Supra-like resale value for the IX.

Looking at the the X news out there, I'd say the chances are 50/50 either way, mostly because the high gas prices make cancellation of a car like the X a real possibility.

Hopefully 8 and 9 will hold their value, unless Mitsu is planning something that we haven't heard about for X.

Why dont u look at the current prices for IX with 12000 miles people are selling them at about 24-26K.....actually selling not asking price

MR's go for 28K with 10K miles. These are realistic prices not dreamer prices that you wish you could sell for.

The two guys saying MR will sell for 30's are dreaming. Maybe in the boonies. But here in cali they are barely fetching 30's new so with 10k I would say high 20's is all you are getting.

i doubt the 9MR would be in the 30's range within a year, in the so.cal region. so.cal dealers are letting them go for roughly 32K MSRP.

I don't think Seattle is consider as boonies, along with most of dealers in east coast still sell evo's at kbb (used) or msrp (new). Not everyone is living in cali, nor knows about SC pricing that's advertising on Evom.

This is a good point. I also believe that X will play a major role in IX resale value.
