Hell no...They would have to prove it to me that they really deserve a 35k car at 17. No point in spoiling kids if they dont learn the value of hard work. (This doesn't apply to all 17-18 year old its just my opinion)..

Yes all us old guys only wish we could have had our Evo's at 17. Yes I'm sure you are the most mature teenager ever to walk the face of the Earth and you're going to pay for your Evo and truly appreciate it. Got what you need there champ?

I swear the one thing that will get me out of this car is the pinheads that are in the community. Somehow I don't imagine Z06 owners or 911 or NSX owners having these conversations.

Ok, off my box now.....back to the insanity....
+1. No need for this thread. Why do you care what anyone on here thinks. Is that going to change your decision? If your offered an Evo at 17, do what I did and TAKE IT except remember to use your brain before you use your right foot. Don't be another idiot teen driver who gives the rest of us a bad name. Thanks.

Enjoy your car man...Life's too short to pass up some opportunities that are only given to a few. Just be careful as some have already stated. I wanted a Mustang for my first car at 17, got an RX-7 instead. I'm going to be 30 this year and knock on wood, never caused an accident/got into one and had to claim insurance. Yes I did change tires alot , but I never took chances which was the difference. To each his own...Everyone will have their own opinions on things. Just the way things go

Well I agree with some of the people on here if you are responsible with it and not a complete idiot trying to show off at your local high school you should be fine. I just turned 20 and I have owned two Evos and I paid for both of them with my own money and I pay for the insurance each and every month mith my money. Mommy and daddy did not help me 1 cent so I work to enjoy and get what I want........Use your head and you sould be straight

sorry i was thinking in my ideal world where after 17 years of parenting a son i would have a pretty good judgement call if he was responsible enough. wow you guys have no trust in your own family huh? haha can't say the same. sorry

i think its straight as long and you arent foolin around tryin to show off. you have the speed to use (if needed) not to abuse, if your driving how you should be then its all good

Everytime I see one of these I think to the kid in my neighborhood.

Straight A student, never been in trouble, what most people would consider very responsible.

His STI was 2 hours old, and he totaled it before he got out our developement. Maximum speed limit 25mph, he now drives an old civic.

The reality is all teenagers THINK they are grown up. The TRUTH is the are NOT, but they aren't grown up enough to know it.

When I was 17 I thought that I was all grown up too. At 32, I just shake my head and wonder how I managed to survive long enough to get to 32.

this is the truest statement ever...i have no idea what i was thinking at that age...almost 10 years ago. its so crazy how much you mature from 17 to 26 it is crazy. and no doubt that he will act like an idiot...but just as long as he is careful and respects the scene not the fast and furious scene but the 4G63 scene then is cool.

there is no limitation on age to be an enthusiast
