Gains in intake pipe vs stock?

Hey guys, I was curious to know if aftermarket intake pipes give you significant gains compared to the rubber stock one? Is it worth to spend money there?

I felt a gain mostly in mid-range torque, the powerband felt fatter.

+1....not really noticed until you get tuned, other than the volume level

No measurable gain on the stock turbo.

I don´t think that he´s asking about the gain from upgrading the entire intake system including filter. He just wants to know if there is any gain to be had from upgrading only the factory articulated rubber intake hose to a smooth bore metal or silicone pipe.

Has anyone recorded the barometer drop off (restriction) on an aftermarket intake pipe vs the stock 1?
