Well, I'm a Mitsu/VW technician in Lubbock Tx. I have 2002 GTI 337 APR stg III (gt28r) a 91 GSX, and 99 ZX9-R. I'm selling the gsx and my GTI to buy an EVO IX. I was going to try and go through my work(Gene Messer) but NO other dealers will give up their evos to another dealer. NONE. Well, one had $7000 worth of stuff from Buschur, but I want to start out stock. Looks like I'm going to go after one of the SEs from Don Hearing, I just need to get my GTI sold first. Will post up more later, gotta run to work!!

good luck! I bought mine at Gilman's Southwest but the car was shipped from their San Antonio dealership almost a year ago. you have a pic of your 91gsx?

i had a stg 3 gti aswell, nothing but problems over heating, tranny issues, axels breakin money pit, definitently go for the evo

 

I'v never really had any problems with it. And as long as there's no wheel hop, normslly there's no issue with breaking axles. was yours a 5 or 6??

but it is kinda sad I run DEAD EVEN with a bone stock IX, until 5th, I pull away pretty good. I'm hoping a tune with take care of that 5th gear takin a **** like it did on that evo i raced. maybe it's cause I had another gear, and it was his last.
