Hey I was wondering this ?

my ? was were i work i get Quaker State Fully Synthetic 10-30 for free cause were sponsored by Quaker State. Is that good oil to use on an Evo or no....
i dont know what the difference is.... so thats y im asking is there a huge difference or would it be ok to use it on the car... there both synthetic. both 10-30 just different brands.....
anyone...

I have tried different oils in the past with my LS1 camaro and it really didnt like some of them it would tick louder so i would switch back to mobil 1.I'd say try it and see how your car acts and sounds it should be fine.
Depending on which Mobil 1 you buy... The Extended life 15,000 is still a PAO oil.
But I believe that the rest of the Mobil 1 oils and the Quaker State oils are Hydro-Cracked Products which means they are a Group III base stock with some synthetic additives.
You may be able to go to the corporate web sites and do a search. Do Not look at what is in print.. It may be hard to find, but look for the actual MSDS ... Shell has made theirs hard to find where their "Fully" Synthetic oils MSDS states that it is 92-98.9 % Petroleum.
If you want to run AMSOIL there are basically 2 Products, SSO 0W-30, and ATM 10W-30. The SSO will give you Ultimate protection and provide you with slightly more HP and/or Fuel Mileage. There is still some TSO 0W-30 floating around, until the warehouses run out, which is also a great 0W-30 oil.

Mobil 1 is recommended by the owners manual.. plus you wont void the warranty. I tried Royal Purple in the past and it wasnt nearly as good as the mobil one.....just my 2 cents though

No one can Force you to use any specific fluid unless you have purchased a Maintenance Agreement..
Mobil 1 is a good oil as long as you use the Extended Performance 15,000.. At least it has enough PAO Base Stock (over 30%) to be called a PAO Synthetic..
Royal Purple..... Well, what is there to say about RP... Not Much
