I don't track my car but I do drive it a lot, 100 miles a day just for work, it is 98% highway.

I have been using Mobil1 and filter but changing it every 3000 miles or so. I am kinda getting sick of this as the cost and frequency of it.

Is there a better method I could be using? I never noticed the 15000 mile stuff because I thought it would be bad for a modified car, but if I could get 8 - 10k out of it that would be way better for me.

I do drive the car hard on occasion going to work somedays, just some random pulls to liven up my 1 hour commute. Any recomendations Oil Doc?

This is some great info your posting as well.

Yes, there is a better way.. With the use of AMSOIL, you can extend your oil changes while also using the AMSOIL EA Oil Filter. With modded engines, it is recommende to use oil analysis to get a baseline. But in lightly modded engines, I would expect about a 17K/1 yr oil change.

The SSO 0W-30 is the recommended oil for the EVO with ATM 10W-30 as an alternate.

MTG is the recommended tranny fluid with the TC and rear gear calling for SVG.

Mobile 1 or Royal purple, but not sure what I'll go with this next time. Maybe Redline? There are so many new high performance oils out there. Dang, I need to get my oil changed like tomorrow. Grah!
