Oil Filters
I am sure many people in here do their own oil changes. Where do you buy your oil filters? I plan to stick with OEM. Is there anything else you guys recommend?
In addition, where can I buy OEM filters for a good price. Do they come with the washer?

When I was a Mitsu owner I got everything at JNZ. Now I just sell them to everyone else. haha
Washers are $1.06 each at JNZ if memory serves me correctly. PN MD050317
When not using an OEM filter I used NAPA Gold filters. That is what I use now on my Toyotas.

$.90 is cheaper then dealer cost on these (whether you or they buy 1 or 10,000 at a time--believe me, mitsu won't price break for quantity, been there, done that in big digit purchases (read $50K+ of one part)). If you can get them for $.90 a pop, let me know where this place is---we'll start buying from them.
Either way, two things:
1) They're dirt cheap---pick up a bunch from us or whomever when you get them and put them in your tool bin.
2) If you catch yourself in a pinch, you *CAN* reuse them a couple of times if you need to. On customer cars, I never take the risk, however, on my own, I've sometimes reused them 10+ times with no leaks.
As far as filters (this subject has been beaten to death and back), I don't care what someone uses provided:
1) They change their oil every 3000 miles or less like most enthusiasts.
2) They use something with a THICK oil filter seal ring. On a stock car, the Mitsu filters are fine, but something without balanceshafts and/or revving to 9K+ you want one with a Fram-like filter o-ring to absorb the vibration and not back off. People sit there and bicker back and forth about "Filtration to "X" Micron" and "Burst Pressure", etc. It doesn't do you a damn bit of good if the filter backs off from vibration and leaves the filter and all 4.75+ quarts of oil .5 miles back.
