strang noise at down shift?
Hello all

I hear a strange humming noise coming from the engine bay when I down shift. This happens sometimes when I down shift in to second gear. Anything to be concerned about

Possible clutch chatter, maybe noisy flywheel.... Need more info, mileage, clutch cond., etc...

The drivetrains on these cars are noisy, mine makes all kinds of different whines, growls in different gears up-shifting and down-shifting.

Probably nothing to worry about.....just the norm.

it's normal unless it's a "clunk clunk sound" that humming sound is just normal when you downshift. ( welcome to the world of evo's where your car talks to u in different ways different sounds ) lol.
