IXs bumper is better than the VIII, the way I see it. I would take the VII front over both of them though. I like the VII though, hence why I have VII tails and VII wheels.

 

i hate how the mitsubishi sign is just floating on the 9 in the front i like the way the 8 looks better but you definitely can't go wrong with either

Why do people say to go with a 9 for just bolt on's? Aren't they basically the same engine in the 8's and 9's and stuff? Couldn't you very well do the same thing to a 9 that you could an 8? Is the reason to go for an 8 instead of a 9 for more than just bolt on's because the car itself is cheaper?

9 has better motor and turbo than 8

 

The IX has a different ECU, MIVEC, added cooling passages allowing for more (safe) boost, revised turbo, more aggressive/optimized cams. If you search, you'll find more exact info including comparative testing.

 

AMS has evo 9's putting out 800+ whp. They can be built just like an 8

bottom line, it all depends on what you intend to do as far as mods go with it
