Anyone wish they got an STi?
Alot of my buddies own subarus...I like change.
I remember 5 years ago. I was in china town/seattle and we saw a blue evo. I didn't know what it was. Friends say, "Look, its an Evo!" "I heard he has a 35r in there!". I'm like wthhh is an evo..35r....? The car was still running, I now know why...turbo timer..lol.
Well ever since that night, I've been hooked. Of course, I wanted other cars too, the Evo has always been #1. The Sti is probably #20 for me..?

I don't wish I bought an STi when I'm cruising in my leather interior, w/ my sunroof open, w/ the radio on, or when people thing they here a vw bug coming down the road, and then realize it's a suby.
I do wish I bought an STi when I look at my paint quality......... or when I am on a super long drive and wish I had cruise control (not really too much of an issue in Hawaii). I test drove both.

I was so in love with the older models of STIs and wanted to own one REAL BAD. I liked how they looked and the noise of the engine. So early last year I decided to look for a "pignose" STI but the dealership ran out. So instead of waiting for the hatch, I got an EVO. Yep,you guessed it...EVO FTMFW!!! I'm so glad I went the EVO route....
I've always been in love with the evo, my first love was the integra type r but the evo 9 & x are where my hearts @. †hat being said... this made me want a subie over an evo for about 3 minutes

well.. on a second note... I do like the design of the new STi's over the new evos... but it's a personal thing. just wish it wasn't a Boxer.
besides, I'm tired of everyone trying to race me.

Up until recently, I had always liked the STi more than the EVO because of a few reasons: I had more friends with STi's (so I was always hearing about them) and my mom (who is Japanese) always drilled the notion that "Mitsubishi is not a quality Japanese brand". But when the time came to buying a new car, I test drove both, and the EVO came out on top.
Now, I'm loving the EVO way more than I thought I ever would. I also have a Nissan 350Z, which I originally intended to have as my pride-and-joy project car, but the EVO is slowly gaining my favor over it...

as a daily driver yea i do wish i bought an sti .higher resale, better interior quality and feel, people who dont know anything about cars know what an sti is most of the time (subaru has better adverts for it) . but im glad i got the evo because all that means NOTHING to me its about one thing THE DRIVE i can push where the sti would just understeer i like the fact that not alot of know what an evo is (at least where i live ) i dont care that the interior quality is lower than the sti i only care if the seats hold like there supposed to with that said ill turn my evo into my race car at the end of the year and pick up an sti. the evo only gets me in trouble with the law. maybe ill be more laid back with the sti????
