Ive owned both as well and hands down the evo is the car to have. If I wanted something with a bit more luxury, I wouldve bought an M3

Do I look back? Of course, how could I not...they are practically the same car and I see way more Subaru guys going to Evo's then I see the reverse...so Mitsu must be doing something right.

But in the end there was just something about the Subaru that made me want it. Who cares I can't make 350+hp on the stock turbo...my car is way to fast as it is.

And some of your "mechanical problems" with the Subaru you guys are listing are hilarious...you guys clearly are going by word of mouth.

so why are you hanging around on a Evo forum?

Probably because he doesn't act like a retarded fanboy and try to tell everyone how much better the sti is through massive amounts of trolling(seen this way to many times). There is the "other cars" setion for a reason and everyone should be able to sign on EvoM and enjoy the community. Or they could just join the savages that roam OT.

I'd be equally as happy with an 06 STI as I would be with my current Evo X. The 07/08 have had too many reported engine issues which is a shame.

STY? funny story i was on my way to the subi dealer to get an sti. Decided to stop by Mitsu and the only reason i bought my evo over the sti was steering response.. Now, after working on a few subi's, i am soooo glad i didnt get it!!! i also have a 2.5 RS tho haha

Why do the Evo guys run to the Subaru forum to post pics?

Only difference is the Subaru forms tend to appreciate the car...which is a bit more then I can say here unfortunately.

Nope, been lurking here a while as I do like the evo believe it or not. Just felt like chiming in on the Subaru bashing.

Everybody is not the same. I like Evo's and STI's. I like this and that. You like your stuff, the other guy likes his. We all have our opinions !

I've had both, and I like both. I like my evo better. I'm not a fan of under steer.
As far as looks I like the 04-05 STi with a front mount intercooler and a hood scoop delete. I think the ix looks good all the way from the front to the back wheels. I don't like the trunk. If you put a subaru back end on an evo ix you would have a good looking car.

Evo FTW! I like STI's but can you work on a horizontal engine? Changing plugs will only take you around 2 hrs. LOL
