I like the sound of the sti but thats where it ends...i would never have the thoughts of changing over to an sti...ive driven one a few times but it just isnt the same...it doesnt feel raw compared to the evo and the gearing and pedals just feel strange

drove both an STI and Evo within an hour of each other, and I knew right away the Evo was for me.

i've driven both and there is no comparison imo...i'm extremely happy with the evo. evo responds to mods much better, and evo handles better imo. i do love the look and the sound of the sti, but i love everything about the evo.

I just felt more "connected" with the Evo.

Don't get me wrong, the STI is nice inside and out, but I felt at home in the

x1000, they're full of compromises

-crappy gearing pre 2007
-2008s and 2009s spin rod bearings even stock
-tiny turbo
-heat soak prone TMIC
-boxers with exhausts sound like Harleys
-tons of piping pre turbo is inefficient
-FMIC means more piping pre-engine inlet and laaaaaaaaaag
-owl catcher hood scoop sways in wind and shakes hood

I could go on and on.

I love everything about my Evo. Coming from a dsm back ground the evo is the god of all import cars imho. Ranks right up there with the Supra and the R34Skyline .
