I bought my evo in 06 dec. I was planning to get STI but suby dealership tried to scam me. They tried to sell STI with 3000 miles for brand new. They even told me some guy drove it home and couldnt pay first months payment so they had to get it back. Tried to sell it for 31k.
My friend bought brand new STI for only 32k month before.
So I said @#$# this dealership and went to mitsubishi dealership.
Never liked intercooler on top + hood scoop.
But I really like 04-05 designs and plan to get one later in the future.

Anyways even mitsubishi dealership tried to scam me too.
Could it be boys in early 20s looking for 35k sports car by themselves? or just because I'm asian? I was so close to sueing my dealership.

I will say that you have to be brutally honest with yourself about how you are going to use your car. I have an 03 Evo that I bought just months after they were available. If I realized how little I would actually be racing my car I would have got an STI. The extra low-range torque is just so much easier to use on your daily driver and the little extra refinement and softening are appreciated when driving around town.

I wouldn't mind daily driving one with a some Hp.. say 450ish on Pump.. pref. a 2006 in Aspen White.. just baby it..!!Hit it once in a while when safe.. and appropriate. No exterior mods.. nice little suspension drop on coilovers.. I like that boxer engine they produce..!!

As far as going beyond that, NO.. I take my evo any day to WOMP WOMP on others.. autocross it, display it on shows, Drag Race it, Circuit track it.. Evo is my Car of choice to satisfy my Motor Sport needs.

That's my take on it.. pretty sure ppl are the Opposite on the NASOIC forum.. if not.. more than welcome to join the Mitsu ranks.. remember its not jst a car its a religion..

I personally was Buying a 06 STi..I love the Look of the car more than the evo...but I love when on the top gear episode clarkson says " you want a civilized car get the STI,you want a car that tells GET OUT OF MY WAY get the evo!" and the evo always win on all test
