Here's a realistic non baller type list.

FMIC
3" Exhaust = $800-1000
Ported intake mani and exhaust mani $200
Ported Throttle body 65mm = $200-300
Milspec TB shaft seals = $21.21
FP Red turbo(possibly ported) $1900
EPM o2 Dump $200 or so
FP wastegate = $150 or so
E85 or Meth injection
Injectors =$ 300-400
Walbro fuel pump $70
Bov $150-300
MBC $100-250
Headstuds $80
CAMS $500+ or so
Intake $100-200
New clutch - Exedy Twin $1500 or so
Good tune. $500 or free

These are prices off the top of my head. Keep in mind you can get some killer deals by watching the For Sale forum. I have had quite a few killer deals from these forums to ebay. Example. I got my cams great condition from ebay normally $600 I bought them for $200+shipping.

Most people get parts over duration of time to install and appreciate the power netted, then uprade. Then you have people that drop their car off and say...I want all the works. They get it done and then they sell the car. This is either due to boredom or just stupidity. Waste of time and money, and just dumb.

If you're mechanically inclined try and do the basics yourself...will save you money in labor. Now if you're the type to need instructions for installing a basic intake...then it may not be wise to do installs yourself.

The 2 lists the way i see are..

How to get to 550whp on the dyno and for a short period of pulls on the street or track..

How to get there RELIABLY where you can beat the **** out of it with peace of mind for years..

This is a peace of mind list the OP posted..

You reach a point where 550whp and 750whp are the EXACT same build just more boost and different fuel..

People break trannies, transfer cases, axles, rear ends, stock too.. The liklely hood of that is rare.. So you can afford to break 10 axles before the DSS unitsare cost effective..

Now if your building an all out drag car sure they are great because you cant afford to break anything with the limited times you go to the track.. most cases broken axles are from from running heavy drag radial tires and tire hop..

Oh yeah I'm agreeing with you. Like I said I was just putting it out there. He has tranny build and bottom end listed that would be a smart upgrade if he was trying to go with bullet proofing as much as possible.

I could beleive it better if it were in the 30psi range but 22? The 30r is known to flow about only 200 more cfm than the 18g and thats only a 1/3 more cfm of what the 18g flows. So not too sure how you are seeing those numbers. My guess is the dyno is not calibrated properly or your boost gauge isnt reading properly.
The boost is set with the AEM EMS. It is set at 22 psi and on my autometer cobalt it reads between 23-25 psi. The AMS is the boost I go by, not the gauge its there more for when I dont have the laptop pluged in to make sure nothing hits like 30+psi or dips in the wastegate spring area. Like I said I was skeptical too as the 450ish area is where I was expecting.

That just seems a little low for a dynojet at 30psi on the 850r kit especially with all the other supporting mods you have. Can I ask you a few q's?

I am assuming that was a very safe and reliable tune? Your afrs looked pretty high at wot? And how was your timing?

The reason why I ask is cause I had a 2.3 stroker, sc61 turbo kit, w/act 6puk with prostreet flywheel, tbe, mbc, 4in IC kit, 255, pte880's, stock top end except for 280's, stock ecu, on a dynojet 575awhp on c16 @ 32psi.

Your running a bigger turbo and its bb, built top end, on a standalone, granted its not a stroker andit is 2psi less but I would figure you would be in the 600's with that list???

I'm not a tuner but that does seem low to me aswell. I have 555 on pump
with a 35R at 30 psi. I thought the 850R was capable of close to 800's on race gas.

OK we found out why my numbers were so high last time. When the machine was calibrated we had both a STI and my evo there. The Subie was first and they didnt recalibrate the RPM on the driving simulation and it skewed the numbers. It put down 468 awhp on 21 psi. We ran out of time for the final tune on the meth and higher boost, but that will be in a few months. I'm upgrading to a 2.5 gallon meth container for the trunk, and a little higher degree cam set. So when all is done I will post the final numbers.
