Should I still be smelling clutch?
So a buddy of mine wanted me to try launching the car for the first time. My car has over 4500 miles on it, and i had yet to launch it. So i decide to give it a try on some wide open family property. I enable the built in two step, go to launch, and my knee hits the bottom of the steering wheel...so i wasn't able to let the clutch out all the way for a little while. after slipping the clutch pretty bad for about 30-40 feet, i finally am able to move my knee and let the clutch out. i instantly started to smell clutch, which was expected.
For the past few days now, just driving my car normal, once everything is at running temperature and i've driven 12 miles or so...i can put my nose by the hood opening and smell warm clutch. granted, it's not nearly as bad as it was when i slipped it, but a faint warm clutch smell is still there after normal driving and getting it up to temperature.
My questions is...why am i still smelling clutch? might there be some dust/residue left over from when i slipped it, and i'm just smelling it when it gets hot? I notice no slipping, or any difference in pedal feel or pulling power. I know clutches wont get destroyed after 1 mis-launch, but i was worried about the smell. any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks for your quick response. I figured there was some residue that was heating up and giving off a smell. I highly doubted i was continuing to damage the clutch, but i figured i would post and ask anyway. Thanks! i'll keep track of the smell, and hopefully it gets fainter and fainter.
as i found out on my old 1st gen GSX, learning to launch properly can be both fun AND expensive.
good news is, when u DO finally torch it, it becomes an awesome excuse to upgrade (i have to fix it anyways, while im in there, i might as well get this part here that i want for it...)

just stop. disengage the clutch. put it in first. floor it and the car will stop the engine from reving past 5500rpms. release the clutch. start moving forward very fast. car will now rev to 7500rpms (fuel cut).
the two seperate rev limiters is what people are reffering to when they say "two step"
