Buying a Evo X (help)

So after thousands of dollars invested into my GTS, I finally decided to upgrade to a Evo X MR. I should have it next week or the week after that. I wa just wondering on parts. WhY should I get first? I have alot of parts I want to buy but not sure what I should get first. This is my first turbo car. The only thing I want to do is put all of the stuff that goes behind the front bumper at the sametime, so I don't have to take the bumper off more than once. Can you guys help

thanks

Not hard to remove the bumper, but...

If that's a concern, I'd do your UICP+LICP+Intercooler all at the same time; that's my plan. It'll save you from having to screw around with the bumper for that series of parts, twice. Though you can do the UICP w/o removing the bumper, the LICP makes it simpler with it off.

As for the first mods, I'd recommend the UICP (or LICP+UICP+Intercooler, if your desire is to eliminate how many times you tear into the front end), exhaust, and most importantly: A good tune. These things run pig rich.

are you parting out your lancer? that would be better than selling it as is because you could get some extra cash. plus you have evo x seats. i'd hold on to those or sell them.

man, i never saw someone put so much into a lancer before. well at least a new one.

you might want to drive the mr in stock form for a year or so and learn about what you should do first. trust me what's important or what may seem smart now may not be in a year. the stock intercooler is good for HP that the sst won't be able to handle so you'd probably wouldn't benefit from messing with that. consider exhaust, tune and panel filter and maybe UIP as first mods because they'll make the biggest initial gains.

No I sold basically as is. Only thongs I took off were the seats hood and coilovers. I sold the coilovers and hood, and I'm still looking to sell the seats. Well I'm not going to leave it stock, I've seen plenty is MRs with bolt on that do fine. I teLly on plan on bolt-ons

the reason i think you should leave it stock for a while is to learn how to drive it first. there's no need to modify the car because in bone stock form it's more car than you can handle anyway. no need to raise the limits of the car when they are already higher than your limits as a driver.

the first thing i'd do, biggest bang for the buck mod on the X's seem to be a tune. TTP, DG, and others have been extracting retarded power (70-90whp+) with only a tune. no mods at all, just tuning. So like someone else said, upgrade the IC and related piping, also add a trans cooler since you're getting an MR and that mounts behind the front bumper also.

It's good to see you finally decided to stop wasting money on that lancer. you should have just bought the EVO in the first place. good luck with the new car.
